Scope
This Code applies to every subcontractor and to every sub-subcontractor performing work on APIS Group projects — on client sites, on APIS sites, or on works under APIS responsibility. It is in addition to the Supplier Code of Conduct, which applies to all goods and services suppliers.
Pre-mobilisation requirements
Before mobilising to site, subcontractors must: provide proof of insurance (employer's liability, public liability and where required professional indemnity); provide trade licences, professional certifications and HSE training records for personnel; complete the APIS subcontractor registration; sign the APIS subcontract incorporating this Code.
Personnel competence
Every person mobilised by the subcontractor must be competent and qualified for the work assigned. Hold valid trade certifications where required by law (electrical, gas, lifting, working at height, hot works, confined space). Speak the working language of the site — typically Albanian or English on Western Balkan sites — to a level that allows safe operation.
Health, safety and environment
Attend the APIS site safety induction before starting work. Comply with the site Health & Safety Plan, the project Environmental Plan and APIS HSE rules at all times. Wear the required PPE and use the required protective equipment. Stop work and report immediately any unsafe condition, near miss or accident.
Quality and workmanship
Deliver work to the specifications, drawings, BoQ and applicable standards (EN, IEC, ASHRAE, NFPA and others as referenced in the subcontract). Use only approved materials and equipment. Cooperate fully with QA inspections, test plans, commissioning protocols and snagging.
Programme and coordination
Comply with the APIS construction programme. Notify APIS of any planned absence, slowdown or delivery issue at the earliest possible opportunity. Coordinate with adjacent trades through the APIS site management.
Site conduct
Treat APIS staff, client representatives, fellow subcontractors and the public with respect. No alcohol or illegal substances on site. No unauthorised photography or social-media posting of project information. No work outside the agreed scope without written authorisation. No subcontracting your own scope without written APIS approval.
Use of site facilities
Use site welfare facilities, parking, materials storage and waste management facilities as designated. Leave the work area clean and safe at the end of each shift.
Documentation and reporting
Maintain daily records of personnel on site, work performed, materials installed and any incidents. Submit progress reports, test certificates, as-built information and warranty documents as required by the subcontract.
Payment and disputes
Payment is made against verified work and on the schedule set out in the subcontract. Disputes are raised in writing first with APIS site management; unresolved matters escalate per the subcontract dispute procedure. The Complaints & Appeals procedure remains available.
Reporting concerns
Use the APIS Whistleblowing channel for concerns about misconduct, safety, corruption or breaches of this Code: whistleblowing@apisgroup.net. Good-faith reporters are protected from retaliation, including from APIS site management.
