Purpose and scope
This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour that all APIS Group personnel must observe. It applies to employees at every level, members of the board, contractors working on APIS projects, and anyone authorised to act on behalf of APIS Group. It is read alongside our Code of Ethics and the policies of the Quality, HSE & Compliance Department.
Professional behaviour
Treat colleagues, clients, suppliers and members of the public with respect and courtesy. Communicate honestly. Maintain professional appearance and conduct on client sites. Represent APIS Group accurately.
Health, safety and environment on site
Comply with all site safety procedures. Wear required PPE at all times. Stop work and report any unsafe condition. Comply with environmental controls and waste management procedures. Hold a current valid certification for any task that requires one.
Use of APIS property and information
Use APIS equipment, vehicles, IT systems and information only for legitimate work purposes. Protect confidential client information. Do not disclose project information without authorisation. Do not use APIS resources for personal financial gain.
Conflicts of interest
Avoid situations where personal interest could conflict with APIS interests or with clients' interests. Disclose any actual or potential conflict to your line manager or to the Quality, HSE & Compliance Department. Do not accept gifts or hospitality that could improperly influence — or appear to influence — your judgement.
Bribery, corruption and improper payments
Do not offer or accept bribes. Do not make facilitation payments. Do not enter into arrangements that effectively achieve a bribe by another route. If you are asked for one, refuse and report it.
Diversity, inclusion and respect
APIS Group provides equal opportunity regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, disability or sexual orientation. Harassment, discrimination and bullying are not tolerated. Reasonable adjustments are provided for disabilities.
Personal data and privacy
Handle personal data — of colleagues, clients, suppliers — strictly in accordance with our Privacy Notice and applicable data-protection law including GDPR. Do not share, copy or process personal data outside the legitimate scope of your role.
Speaking up
If you see or suspect a breach of this Code, raise it. The fastest channels are your line manager, the Quality, HSE & Compliance Department, or the confidential Whistleblowing channel. APIS Group does not tolerate retaliation against good-faith reporters.
Consequences of breach
Breaches of this Code are treated seriously and may lead to disciplinary action up to and including termination, contract termination for non-employees, and where applicable referral to public authorities.
